|
Hello, I am a
teacher at a Public High School in Rome,
Italy.
I teach English at the Vocational School of Health and Social
Services. The majority of the students attending this school are girls.
I would like to help my students be more motivated in learning and
studying English by means of a controlled email exchange with new
"penfriends" from an English speaking country. I believe peer-to-peer
experience is one of the most successful ways of learning!
Some things that your students could get from this experience are:
more knowledge about Italian habits, culture, history, cuisine, end so
on.
With 'controlled email exchange' I mean a safe exchange, as I would send
my students' letters, written on a Word document, through my official work
email address to another teacher, willing to take
part to the project.
This project would involve five classes of students. My students' age
range is from 15 up to 18-19 years old.
Year 2: 20 students (17 girls, 3 boys); Year 3: 15 students (14
girls, 1 boy);
Year 4, two student classes: 4A: 18 students (18 girls); 4C: 14
students (14 girls). Year 5: 9 students (6 girls, 3 boys).
We could weekly exchange emails and once a month even have video calls
through Skype.
I look forward to hearing from you! |
