| Hi Paulina!
My name's Anna and I teach English in a junior high school in Palaiseau (South of Paris). I am interested in developing projects with an interdisciplinary approach such as Arts, History, Litterature or Civil Education.
I took part in a project dealing with exile and migrations this year which occurred in Dublin (May 2016). This link can give you an overview of the project we lead: https://vimeo.com/170322769
I am currently working on another project (for 2016-2017) which is aiming at having the kids (15 years old) write the biography (in French and English) of Ida Grinspan's father. Ida's father perished in Auschwitz but our goal here would be more to focus on the Jewish life before the Holocaust. One of the goals of the project would also be to go to Poland with the kids and lead performance studies on the subject: work on a play in situ (superviszed by a French playwright) and also organize artistic workshops (with an artist from Berlin).
So, here is my request: Would you be interested in setting up a project with a class of 26 French kids, aged 15, which would be aiming at comparing the way History but also English (and why not other subjects :) are taught in Poland and in France. This questioning about how schools can differ (or have similitudes) from one country to the other could enable us to know more about our relative countries and cultural heritage. We could organize email exchange to start with.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Anna |
