Okay, so here's the real debate: whale sharks are my favorite animal but should they still be considered as whales or considered as sharks? They're too gentle to be sharks...

Whale sharks are actually sharks because of their tail orientation! Since the tail moves side to side, and not up and down, it is a type of shark!:)

Actually, sharks can be pretty gentle, but I think that whale sharks are whales because of their teeth.
