| There are many reasons for a dog to begin to lose her hair. I will list a couple of possible reasons:
1) She has fleas/mites: You would need to buy a special shampoo to fix this problem. But if she isn't scratching a lot then this is not your problem at all.
2) She needs other nutrients in her diet: You can try adding fish or fish oil to her diet because it has essential fatty acids which promote good skin and fur.
3) She is just getting old: If she is very old and nothing but her age has really changed then this could be her problem.
It could be something else altogether, but the above problems are ones I have seen before. If your dog goes to the vet regularly you could ask them what they think (they are actual professionals and can tell you a lot more than I can).
