You have to see the configuration required. It is to say the minimum memory or the appropriate sound card or the version of windows.( look at the back of the game box or in the user's manual).
If you have a normal computer ( like a tower ) many games can work if you have checked all the above points. if you have a laptop : memory is very small and only a fexw games can work.
If you have internet sometimes you have to downhload small softwares so that your games can work ( be carful with viruses ).
